Bret Hart appeared in six games in the Smackdown video games series.
The eighth child of wrestling patriarch Stu Hart, Bret Hart was born in Calgary, Alberta into the Hart wrestling family. His introduction to professional wrestling came at an early age. As a child, he witnessed his father training future wrestling stars like Billy Graham in the Dungeon, his household basement which served as possibly the most notorious training room in the world of wrestling. Before school, Hart's father, also a wrestling promoter, had him hand out fliers to local wrestling shows. In the 1998 documentary, Hitman Hart: Wrestling with Shadows, Hart reflected on his father's discipline, describing how Stu inflicted excruciating submission holds while uttering morbid words to his teenage son. The suffering endured in these sessions even left broken blood vessels in his eyes. Hart also cited his father's otherwise pleasant demeanor and growing up in the professional wrestling atmosphere. Hart also repeated these statements in his 2007 autobiography.
Bret Hart is an undeniable legend when it comes to Technical wrestling, as a 5 time WWF Champion, 5-time United States Champion (4 with WCW, 1 with WWE), and a WWE Hall of Famer. He was very vocal about his dislike towards the WWE after an incident dubbed as The Montreal Screwjob, involving Vince McMahon, Shawn Michaels and Earl Hebner which saw Bret lose against HBK in match he was scheduled to win, but Vince ended the match early because he feared Bret would take the WWF title with him to WCW. Outside of the Montreal incident, Bret Hart is a former King of the Ring and Royal Rumble winner and had memorable feuds with the likes of The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels.
